Hamish the Cat |
The worlds most acclaimed mouser! |
Hamish the cat From 1990* To November 18th 2005 *we do not know His exact date of birth
Friends We hoped this time would never come We’d hope to not be here But time and tide would wait no more To raise our greatest fear
For in its haste it took a pal But time, they say, will mend The sadness that we feel right now Towards a loyal friend
For a friend you were but never spoke Could make us cry and laugh Asked for little, gave a lot Until this final path
We will always remember the happy times Before this day drew nigh Now there’s only left one thing to say That’s “Thanks old friend...Goodbye”

Welcome to Hamish the cat. Sadly Hamish Passed Away, very peacefully, on Friday 18th November at 10:30pm, after a short illness exacerbated by a long standing heart complaint. He was, of course, much loved by all who had met him and also by those who new of him through photos and our relentless talk of all things Hamish. He will always be remembered and held in high esteem. And naturally this website will serve as a memorial to him. His ashes are to be scattered in the garden he loved to play in. Finally a special thank you to all our many friends who sent cards, e-mails and rang to offer their condolences. I am Hamish and as you will see from my photo, I am a rather good looking tom cat. About 16 years old, but who’s counting. I have two humans and live in the luxury I expect and demand. I thought I would share my experiences in this website and keep you up to date with my busy and hectic life. I have however, reluctantly, given some space to the two humans and their friends (more about them later), so that they can talk about their human things. Maybe I will get to find out where they disappear to for days on end leaving me home alone - but more of that later. Enjoy what’s here and be patient as I develop the site, oh gotta go just heard the electric can opener start, that usually means one thing - TUNA, but more likely baked beans, anyway I will just saunter into the kitchen with my best ‘not interested really just passing look’. |
